Dr. Osbert Fernandez brings over 20 years of experience and dual board certification in Family Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology to his role as an endometriosis doctor serving patients in Miami, FL at Endometriosis Surgical Specialists International (ESSI). As a native Floridian and proud second-generation Cuban-American physician, Dr. Fernandez combines cutting-edge robotic surgical techniques with compassionate, culturally sensitive care that reflects his deep commitment to advancing endometriosis treatment and women’s health advocacy.

Recognized as one of New Jersey’s top doctors for consecutive years and honored with a humanitarian award for his dedication to women’s health, Dr. Fernandez has established himself as a leader in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and endometriosis treatment. His expertise in robotic-assisted surgery for complex endometriosis cases, including bowel invasion, rectal involvement, and frozen pelvis conditions, makes him uniquely qualified to help patients who have been told their cases are too challenging or risky to treat effectively.

Dr. Fernandez completed his medical education at St. George’s University School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine degree with a focus on Obstetrics and Gynecology. His commitment to excellence continued during his residency at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Manhattan, New York, where his leadership abilities and clinical skills earned him the position of Chief Resident in 2003.

His undergraduate foundation was established at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, providing him with a strong scientific background that would prove invaluable throughout his medical career. This comprehensive educational foundation prepared him for the complex challenges of treating endometriosis and other gynecologic conditions requiring advanced surgical intervention.
